Cupped

Cupped is a cafe discovery app for Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, and Calgary. We take your privacy seriously and collect only what we need to provide the service. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We store your email and display name to identify your account across sessions.

Location

With your permission, we access your approximate location once during onboarding to suggest your nearest city. We do not continuously track or store your location.

Activity data

We store the stamps you collect, reviews you submit, and taste preferences you set. This data is tied to your account and used to personalise your experience.

Device and usage data

Standard server logs may include your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Used for debugging and service improvement only.

• To save your stamp cards and rewards across sessions
• To display your reviews on cafe pages
• To personalise cafe recommendations based on taste preferences
• To allow cafe owners to verify their business listing
• To send transactional emails (e.g. event inquiry confirmations)

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

Cupped uses the following services to operate:

• Google OAuth — sign-in. Google Privacy Policy
• Google Places API — cafe photos and location data.
• Supabase — database, hosted on AWS. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Resend — transactional email. Resend Privacy Policy
• Vercel — hosting. Vercel Privacy Policy

The Cupped iOS app requests camera access solely to scan QR codes for the cafe stamp system. The camera is only activated when you tap "Scan stamp QR" in the owner dashboard. No images or video are stored or transmitted — all processing happens locally on your device.

Your account data is retained while your account is active. To request deletion, email us and we will remove your data within 30 days.

Cupped is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe this has occurred.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and to withdraw consent by deleting your account. Email cupped.biz@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of Cupped after changes constitutes acceptance.
